NFL Blitz Returns
After a nearly seven-year hiatus, the arcade football series known for its big hits and fast-paced game play is making a return to consoles. EA and Tiburon have announced they are working on a new installment of NFL Blitz.
It's due this January and will feature custom-made commentary from NBA Jam announcer Tim Kitzrow. Many of the old modes and unlockables from previous versions of Blitz will make a return, including novelty modifications to the game such as a big head mode, customizable rosters, and guest characters.
These novelty items will be called the “Blitz Gauntlet” and will feature characters such as lions, zombies, Bigfoot, and other secret guests.
NFL Blitz will release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network on Jan. 3, 2012, at $14.99.
