Two New Persona Titles Announced
While the current crop of Vita titles is relatively small, Atlus has announced a PS Vita port of the popular PS2 JRPG Persona 4.
Titled Persona 4: The Golden, this will be an enhanced port of the original with new animation, voice acting, and at least one new female character. Beyond these features, the Vita version will add wireless support that will allow players to assist one another when they are about to die in a dungeon. No other explanation behind this feature has been revealed at this time, but giving the time frame of the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, more details will surely become available.
A second Persona title was also announced, this one differing from the normal JRPG formula. Arc System Works, developers behind popular 2-D fighters such as BlazBlue and the Guilty Gear series are developing a Persona 4-based fighter called Persona 4: The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena. It will hit arcades in spring 2012 with a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 port later on in the summer.
