Is there going to be a fix soon?  Can't remember what the problems reported were.  As stands I can't use the "menu" button on the mobile site with the Droid.  Switching to full site works, but not being the mobile version of the site makes creates incompatibility with typing in text fields.  (Can't use caps.)

This means, if I ever want to start a new thread on my Droid, it's going to be no caps.

Wait, your Droid doesn't allow you to use caps in text fields? On OMGN only? That's an odd problem, I don't think it's something I can fix on my end.

Unfortunately, I do not own a Droid and the menu problem isn't present on all devices. I'm not sure how to fix that one yet. Frown

no, only when not using the mobile version of the site.  it comes out  like this.  onscreen keyboard doesnt appear when you click the field, so ur forced to use physical keyboard, but even with that, caps or special chars wilt alt key dont work.  mobile site doesnt have this problem, but then cant acess menu, which means youure limited to seeing only recently updated threads.

That's very strange that the full site can't use caps. Do you see any of the GUI elements when entering forum posts, or is it just a simple text box?

While attempting to get a new phone while at Verizon, (current one causing too much problems) I got discouraged that ALL the Droids I tested OMGN with, it still suffered with the same menu button problem.  The iPhone worked, of course I couldn't login to really test to see how it typed because I needed to enable cookies...something I would of thought the sample phones would of had, and the mall was closing so I didn't have time to figure it out.

The whole dilemma was that the mobile version of the site didn't make the menu button work, which meant if I wanted to to look or type in any content that wasn't recent, I was sunk.  Full version of the site shows the full menu, but typing then requires a physical keypad (clicking in the text fields like this one does not enable the touchscreen while in full site mode) and even at that, no caps.  (This also meant if the phone had no physical keypad, and none of the new Droids do, you couldn't type at all.)

However, after I got home, I found out it actually WAS working all along, just in a weird way.  Pushing the menu button (mobile site) doesn't seem to do anything only because the menu actually appears all the way at the bottom of the page instead.  It used to work just fine, when OMGN just came out.  But whatever changes Android did to their web navigation somewhere within the last few OS updates...*shrug*  Cumbersome yes, but still much better than nothing.

Now all I have to do is contemplate which Droid to get....

Ok, that's good information. It appears the browser isn't allowing the overlay to display properly. I'll see if I can find a reason why.
