So I am a huge Harry Potter fan, repeatadly read all the books, I remember going to the cinema to see the first film - magical. But having aged with the series I have steadily become less impressed with each film. It could be that the films stayed the same and it was I who changed, but I think itd more likely they tried to make the series more appealing to a wider auidence and in so doing lost the dedicated hardcore followers. Anyone feel the same, what are you thoughts on the new film?

I never thought the movies degraded too much in quality, but it's not like they got better with each and every iteration. My favorite of the movies was Prisoner of Azkaban, I thought they did that one pretty well.. The cinematography in it was solid, I thought.
I read all the books too. The last movie was good, it just didn't blow my mind or anything. Enjoyable.

I guess it was probably just that fact that I aged with the films, when the first film came out I was at an age where I was in wonder and awe about the glory of my favourite book coming to the big screen and as time passed that appeal must have worn off

I thought the final film may have been the best of them all. I need to see it a few more times to be sure. I also liked Azkaban, Goblet, and Half-Blood Prince.

Got three of them as a gift. The first two, and some other one but I don't think it was the third. Never watched whatever our "third" movie was. Never watched another one since because I don't know the order.

Never read any of the books and only saw the first 2 flicks. Did not like either one of them.

I think the first two were the weakest. They were very, very child-oriented. The third movie is when they started to get a lot better.
