OMGN Staff Attending E3 2011
OMGN is ecstatic to report that it has been confirmed we have several members of our team registered to attend the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year June 7-9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We anticipate having 3 staff members heading to the center for the extravagantly exciting experience. So far, we have three of our staff confirmed as registered, Robert Ludwick (OMGN's president, publisher, editor, and writer), Kyle Hovanec (writer), and myself, Jason Winstanley (editor and news reporter), with more awaiting confirmation from the team behind the prestigious event. This is a fantastic opportunity, and I for one am extremely over-the-moon to have been given the chance to attend, even just the once.
The show happens once a year and is where most, if not all, companies that are involved in the interactive industry display their products. One historical breakaway is Blizzard, which now holds its own games conference known as BlizzCon, usually around October.
E3 is where companies such as Sony and Microsoft show off their latest game systems (the most notable of 2010 was the Xbox 360 Slim) and the games for the new system (such as Portal 2 for PlayStation 3). It is the ultimate expo to visit if you are into video games and other interactive forms of entertainment. You will feel like a kid in a candy store if you get the opportunity to go. And we certainly will this year.
We will be live, tweeting and posting the latest from the event, and we'll even attempt to get some video footage for you, too. You can find the Twitter accounts of the respective members on their OMGN site profiles (should they have them publicly available), and of course, you know where the OMGN site is already.
